L'Estudi is my personal workspace, structured into three areas: a sound studio, a space for 2D design and animation, and an upper floor dedicated to painting.

Inspired by the independent collectives I lived with in Germany, the space was born with the vocation to be shared. We believe in art as a collective process and in mutual support, but to maintain the equipment and pay the rent month by month, the project needs to be sustainable. We seek an honest balance: neither a traditional company nor a purely anti-establishment space that romanticizes precarity.

To achieve this, we open L'Estudi through these paths:

• Intensive workshops: In-house and guest artist training focused on visual and sound arts. We offer competitive prices and a mutual support system, accepting donations from those with greater financial capacity to help sustain the space.
• Piano rentals: The studio has two pianos available for rehearsing or composing by the hour.
• Short artistic residencies (1 week - 2 months): Designed for creators who need a refuge to develop a specific project, with access to our technical equipment and my advice.

Artistic Residencies (1 week - 2 months)

We offer the studio as a laboratory for creators who need to develop a specific project. We are especially focused on:

• Sound production (experimental music and ambient).
• Painting and drawing.
• 2D animation and conceptual design.
• Creative coding.

*Other related proposals will also be considered.

What we offer: During your residency you will have my professional help and we will provide you with our technical needs. In addition, we project the possibility of holding a private showcase event for the public, and we will help you find a space (galleries or sound spaces in Valencia) to present your work.

How to apply: Send us a message through the form presenting a general idea of the project you want to carry out and detailing your technical needs. You can also propose your preferred dates, and we will try to find the best possible solution based on our availability.

The visual section of L'Estudi works with the same philosophy as the sound area: a learning space divided between our in-house workshops and courses taught by external artists.

In-house workshops

We work through spot reservation. As soon as we reach a minimum group, we propose a date to the registered participants and make it public until we reach full capacity (which is very limited to guarantee learning quality).

• Intensive Workshop: Experimental 2D Animation and Stop Motion
  Duration: 16 hours.
  Maximum capacity: 6 people.
  The workshop: A pure laboratory. Our way of working will be based on direct experimentation with materials, searching for shapes to finally resolve the piece. It will include a brief theoretical part and tool explanation, culminating with an introduction to image editing for the final video montage. We will use free editing and composition software, except for an optional introduction to After Effects.

Monographics and guest artists

To expand the visual possibilities of the studio, we will host external artists who will teach specialized workshops in technology and generative art. Coming soon:

• Visual workshops with Max/MSP/Jitter.
• Visual composition with real-time code.

At L'Estudi we divide our sound training offer into two paths: in-house workshops and monographics taught by guest artists.

In-house workshops

I teach these courses personally and they work flexibly: we open a registration list or they are organized on demand.

• Intensive Workshop: Introduction to Ableton Live
  Duration: 16 hours (spread over 2 days).
  The workshop: A totally practical approach. We will do a thorough review of the most important tools of the software and you will learn a clear work methodology to start composing, structuring and mixing your first track from scratch.
  Note: Ableton Live editions usually fill up fast. Sign up on the list to secure a spot in the next call.


• Intensive Workshop: Introduction to Piano (Through Experimentation)
  Duration: 9 hours (spread over 3 days, 3 hours/day). On-demand format.
  The workshop: Designed for you to develop your own attitude to experiment with the instrument, without needing prior musical knowledge. We will do a brief review of basic harmony concepts, but the goal is for it to be a fun way to play with the piano and acquire a solid base to continue practicing at your own pace at home.

Monographics and guest artists

L'Estudi is an open laboratory. In addition to the core training, we regularly invite other artists and professionals to teach specialized workshops. We will soon open registration for courses in:

• Analog synthesis.
• Composition and sound design for film and video games.

Practice: Piano Rental by the hour

Are you a student, need to practice and don't have an instrument at home? The studio has two pianos in perfect condition available to rent by the hour.
